Abstract

|
A double gallbladder is a rare anomaly of the biliary tract. Ultrasonography, oral cholecystography, CT, ERCP, and MRCP is to be useful methods for confirm diagnosis. Stone formation is a most common complication of double gallbladder and it can raise clinical symptoms and cholecystectomy should be the treatment of choice in symptomatic patients. Total removal of both gallbladder should be the acurate treatment to avoidother complications and reoperation. We report a patient with double gallbladder who was successfully treated with laparoscopic cholecystectomy. This is the first reported case of laparoscopic treatment for double gallbladder in Korea.
